Searching For Perfection

I envision lyrics perfectly aligned, A flawless rhythm, exquisitely designed, This is only in my mind The poem that could motivate the weary soul, And gently guide the broken back to whole The perfect set of words, a potent art, To mend the fractures of the broken heart

🎵 Choose To Be Happy 🎵

(Verse 1) I woke up this morning, felt the weight on my chest, Another mountain to climb, another test. The clouds were gathering, shadows long and deep, But a piece of sunlight, I decided to keep. Could let the worries pile, let them drag me around, Or find a quiet rhythm, a joyful sound. The sun still shines, even in the struggle’s haze, And I found my smile, through all these tangled days. Life’s too short to waste it, wrapped in shades of blue, So I choose this feeling, happy through and through. Happy when the trouble’s knocking at the door, Because I’m not living sad, not anymore. (Verse 2) Got tangled up in problems, a knot I can’t undo, I still have dilemmas, old ones and brand new. Could let the anger simmer, let the bitterness brew, Or write a melody, and thank God for a morning new, They say you gotta fix it all before you can breathe, But sometimes the joy is the air you just need to breathe, (Bridge) Its not about pretending the problems just fade away, It’s about finding ...

Your Pen Speaks

Say what you want to say, let your true voice be heard, Don’t tailor words to please. Crafted to appease?, No, I’m just being honest, my thought carried on the breeze. Be clear when you express yourself, let every phrase be known, Tell them what you think they need to hear. Not just to comfort, or a gentle word, But speak with purpose, Show them respect in every spoken word. Yet do not fear the truth you must impart, Let courage guide the beating of your heart. But hold many thoughts, for wisdom’s gentle sway, Be very careful with the words you choose to say. Some secrets should be kept in silence, meant to keep, Don’t write them down, let quiet waters sleep. I’m an open book, my spirit may appear, I say all my honest thoughts, for all the world to hear. But deep within, a careful compass stays, Guiding my speech through life’s uncertain race. With sound judgment, my true words I choose, Kn owing what to share, and what to refuse.

Controlling My Words

The tightrope I walk of trying to control my words, It’s a delicate and fragile art. To choose the words that are clearly heard, Yet also guard the chambers of the heart. It’s difficult, so hard, to curb the tide, That surges from within my soul. The truths I feel, I cannot hide, And often lose my firm control. My tongue is like a river, Swift and deep, It often overflows its banks, in earnest flow. The words I speak, I sometimes cannot keep, Though wisdom says, “Go slow.” Be wise, I really mean no harm, my heart is true, The feelings spill, I speak my view, I often say too much to you. The consequence, a mirrored face, Of understanding, or of pain. I strive for grace, in time and space, To find the balance, once again, For though my heart wants to be bare, And lay its feelings at the door, A careful word, a precious fare, Is worth the effort, and much more

Rest

This is something that I need to clear my mind, The constant grind has been unkind. It settles heavy, a persistent dust, Messing with my sanity and my trust. This endless turning of the heavy gears, Has darkened the sunlight, amplified my fears. The steady pressure of the coming day, Steals all my vibrant, vital energy away. My mental health is becoming dry, Beneath this hot, unforgiving sky. I yearn for peace I cannot buy, A simple moment where I need not try

I'm Right Here

I hear them talk about the endless search and chase, Running down these avenues, trying to find their fantasy space . That constant quest for Cupid , for a lover’s warm embrace, It must be draining work, that never-ending race. But I wouldn’t know the feeling, never laced my shoes up for that mile, I see the weariness in their eyes, the stress lines on their face, Still looking for perfection, at a breakneck, desperate pace. But don’t confuse my stillness with a spirit locked away, I’m not hiding from destiny, not hiding from the light of day. If love decides to wander my way, You can find me in the open, no need for guessing games to play. There is no fortress built around me, no shadows where I creep, My welcome mat is out, no secrets do I keep. Easy to approach, no complex codes to crack, Just standing in my truth, no turning back. I’m not staring at the cosmos , for a sign from up above, Nor am I digging through the dirt, for some forgotten kind of love. My vision’s locked straight...

Imperfect

Image
I know the heart, how it desires, To trust, to leap across the fires Of doubt and fear, to find a hand, A listening ear in shifting sand. But truth, a bitter drink to taste, Reveals the flaws, the hurried haste With which we judge, with which we fall, Imperfect sinners, one and all.
