I'm Right Here
I hear them talk about the endless search and chase,
Running down these avenues, trying to find their fantasy space.
That constant quest for Cupid, for a lover’s warm embrace,
It must be draining work, that never-ending race.
But I wouldn’t know the feeling, never laced my shoes up for that mile,
I see the weariness in their eyes, the stress lines on their face,
Still looking for perfection, at a breakneck, desperate pace.
But don’t confuse my stillness with a spirit locked away,
I’m not hiding from destiny, not hiding from the light of day.
If love decides to wander my way,
You can find me in the open, no need for guessing games to play.
There is no fortress built around me, no shadows where I creep,
My welcome mat is out, no secrets do I keep.
Easy to approach, no complex codes to crack,
Just standing in my truth, no turning back.
I’m not staring at the cosmos, for a sign from up above,
Nor am I digging through the dirt, for some forgotten kind of love.
My vision’s locked straight ahead, like a purpose-driven shove,
Focused on the present, is that not what this journey’s made of.
Not drifting in the past, no future I define,
Just what’s right in front of me, on this solid track of mine.
Ready for the moment, for something new.
