Found Within
Though minds may clash, and paths diverge in thought,
Can you respect the stand that I have caught?
For intellect, a boldness, shining bright,
And kindness, understanding, fill my sight.
With respect woven through, a silken thread,
These are the virtues that are in my head.
A face may gleam, a form may hold allure,
But beauty fades, its fleeting reign is sure.
For these fair masks can hide a heart of stone,
Where hate resides, and empathy's unknown.
We argue on, of inner grace and form,
But preference sways, weathering every storm.
I cherish beauty, outward, clear and grand,
Yet find a deeper joy in what I understand.
The love that flows, the emotions true and deep,
The secrets whispered while the whole world's asleep.
These emanate from souls, a vibrant gleam,
Far brighter than the fairest, fleeting dream.
I did not start with wisdom, clear and bold,
But sought it through the prayers I often told.
And grace descended, shifting what I knew,
A different lens, a fresh and vibrant view.
Like gifts, we're wrapped in layers yet unseen,
And true worth lies in what is found within.
