Success
They ask me what’s success, picture perfect dreams?,
A million in the bank, flashing’ on the magazine?,
Who made these rules? Who holds the golden key?
Tellin’ me I haven’t arrived, not the man I’m meant to be?
I’m shifting’ the perspective
Success isn’t being rich with a big house, Selective criteria built by people that chase the social climb,
Forget what anyone else thinks success is, I’m speaking’ from my mind,
I used to chase the phantom, the glimmer of the prize,
Lost in the comparison, hidden behind my lies,
I think I’ve cracked the code, it’s true
Success is inner peace, doing what you’re born to do,
So I’m writing my own narrative, ripping up the script,
Progress over perfection,
Every single lip that whispers doubt and fear,
I’m deaf to the attack,
I’m building my foundation, there’s no turning back.
