Your Pen Speaks
Say what you want to say, let your true voice be heard,
Don’t tailor words to please.
Crafted to appease?,
No, I’m just being honest, my thought carried on the breeze.
Be clear when you express yourself, let every phrase be known,
Tell them what you think they need to hear.
Not just to comfort, or a gentle word,
But speak with purpose,
Show them respect in every spoken word.
Yet do not fear the truth you must impart,
Let courage guide the beating of your heart.
But hold many thoughts, for wisdom’s gentle sway,
Be very careful with the words you choose to say.
Some secrets should be kept in silence, meant to keep,
Don’t write them down, let quiet waters sleep.
I’m an open book, my spirit may appear,
I say all my honest thoughts, for all the world to hear.
But deep within, a careful compass stays,
Guiding my speech through life’s uncertain race.
With sound judgment, my true words I choose,
Knowing what to share, and what to refuse.
