What are my motives,
My why,
What do I do anything for,
Fame,
To be seen,
To be heard,
Or no reason at all,
Are my motives pure,
I don't know,
I want them to be,
God make my motives pure

Oh, Source of wisdom, breath of life's own art, Please God, imbue the promptings of my heart. Grant me the words, a flowing, crystal stream, To waken spirits from a slumbering dream.
