Victory
The path I tread, with a righteous aim,
To chase the good, to quell the shame.
I strive to build, to mend and heal,
With purpose strong and heart of steel.
I will stumble, and lose my way,
And fall so short of what I pray.
I see the pitfalls, feel the strain,
The weight of failure, etched in pain.
I know the odds, they’re stacked so high,
And destined dreams may fade and die.
Yet, still I push, with weary stride,
And pour my all into the tide.
I fight the current, brave the storm,
And keep my spirit safe and warm.
For in the end, when all is done,
And victory’s light has never shone,
I’ll hold my head, though tears may fall,
And find my pride within it all.
Not in the triumph, boldly won,
But in the battle, bravely run.
The aching limbs, the sweat, the fight,
The sheer commitment, burning bright.
So let me fail, if fail I must,
My heart and soul will shed no dust.
I did my best, I gave my all,
And that’s a victory standing tall.
